Key Role in Resource Recovery Contract Management

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the procurement, management and monitoring of all contracts related to resource recovery.

This includes working closely with management and staff to ensure that council and residents receive excellent services through all contracts, procurement procedures are complied with, industry best practice knowledge informs all decisions, and council and contractors comply with the terms of contracts including WHS and EMS elements.

Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting other operational areas in the tendering, evaluating, and awarding of contracts. To achieve this, appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience is essential.

A key requirement of this position is extensive experience in contract management, administration, and process improvement in resource recovery or other relevant industry.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to negotiate, manage, and monitor contracts that provide excellent value for money and achieve social and environmental objectives.

Maintaining productive relationships with management, staff, and contractors is also crucial.
