Job Opportunity:

This is a 6-month term contract role that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

  • ">
  • Operate site plant and equipment including waste compactor, track loader, wheeled loader, excavator, and water cart.">
  • Screen customers and loads to ensure only authorized waste is delivered to site and customers are charged at the appropriate rate.">
  • Direct traffic to appropriate areas of the site dependent on load type.">
  • Separate recoverable materials into stockpiles and ensure stockpiles are managed in a safe and effective manner.">
  • Site housekeeping including litter collection and keeping resource recovery areas tidy.">
  • Undertake minor maintenance and care of plant and equipment.">
  • Undertake relief work where required at the gatehouse.">
  • Open and/or close the site as necessary.">

About You:

  • ">
  • Experience in landfill and resource recovery operations or similar.">
  • Competency in the operation of heavy plant including waste compactor, track loader, wheeled loader, excavator, or similar.">
  • Class C Drivers Licence.">
  • Sound communication skills.">
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service.">
  • Demonstrated understanding of Work Health & Safety and Risk Management Responsibilities.">
  • Willingness to undertake additional training.">
  • Demonstrated commitment to honesty and integrity.">
  • Sense of civic pride/environmental responsibility.">
  • Class HR drivers licence.">
  • Asbestos Awareness Training.">
  • Understanding of environmental issues and the role that a waste facility holds within the community.">
  • First Aid Certificate.">

Key Requirements:

  • $1,201.42 per week minimum, $1,320.12 per week maximum.">
  • Temporary, Full-time, 6-month Term Contract, 38 hours per week.">
