Adult Survivors Program Clinician

This role offers the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality clinical interventions and providing strategic leadership for adult survivors of child sexual abuse with complex needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialised clinical services, offering expert consultation, care coordination, and collaborative interventions to ensure high-quality care and outcomes for survivors.

The ideal candidate will have substantial demonstrated experience in and knowledge of clinical practice pertaining to adult survivors of child sexual abuse who have complex needs. They will also possess a minimum of 3 years clinical experience and a demonstrated understanding of the issues involved in working with adult survivor clients and the barriers that adult survivors face when trying to access trauma-specific, culturally safe health care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct Clinical Care: Provide specialised clinical services to adult survivors of child sexual abuse with complex needs related to mental health, alcohol & other drugs, and trauma.

- Consultation & Coordination: Offer expert consultation, care coordination, and collaborative interventions to ensure high-quality care and outcomes for survivors.

- Capacity Building & Leadership: Lead and support capacity-building initiatives for NSW Health professionals and external partners to enhance their understanding of complex trauma and improve service delivery.

- Service Development: Actively identify gaps and opportunities for practice improvement and service development across Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol, and Violence, Abuse, and Neglect (VAN) services.

- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives for continuous improvement by integrating evidence-based practices and supporting the delivery of somatic and sensory interventions to address complex trauma.

Requirements:

">

- Bachelors degree in a health related field such as Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Counselling.

">

- Membership of Australian Association of Social Work (Social Work); Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (Occupational Therapy); or Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia or Australian Counselling Association (Counselling).

- Eligible NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel for work.
