Requirements
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery / Certificate IV in Kitchen Management: To guarantee your success in this role, you will need to hold one of these certificates. Your expertise should be matched only by your enthusiasm for delivering consistently high-quality meals.
- Minimum 2 Years' Experience as a Chef: Having honed your skills in a similar setting, you know what it takes to excel under pressure and meet the expectations of discerning customers.
Your Role as Executive Chef
You will oversee daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory control, and supplier liaison. Your primary responsibilities will involve:
- Preparation & Presentation: Prepare, cook, and serve menu items with attention to presentation at all stages of preparation.
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Ensure strict adherence to local health codes and ensure food safety standards are upheld throughout the kitchen environment.
- Menu Planning & Cost Control: Plan innovative menus, estimate ingredient costs, and manage ordering to meet financial targets.
- Team Leadership: Train staff on cooking techniques, advise on procedures, and provide guidance to enhance teamwork and efficiency.
