South Australia Workers Compensation Legal Leader

This pivotal leadership role is central to maintaining the legal boundaries and ensuring the long-term viability of South Australia's ReturnTo Work scheme.
- The successful candidate will oversee the management of significant legal cases with Scheme-wide impact.
- They will provide expert legal advice on complex legislative matters and manage the Scheme Legal Team, a small, high-performing legal team that sits within Legal Services.
The Manager Legal will be responsible for managing and reporting on significant legal cases, providing legal advice on legal risks, trends, and legislative interpretation, managing the Scheme Legal team, and assisting in maintaining relationships with key legal and regulatory bodies. They will also contribute to legislative updates and regulatory compliance.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Laws, a current Practising Certificate, and at least 5 years PAE experience.
- Extensive experience in South Australian workers compensation and dispute management.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Deep understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
