Key Leadership Role in Legal Services

This is a pivotal leadership position within the organization's Legal Services division. As a seasoned legal professional, you will oversee the management of significant legal cases with Scheme-wide impact and provide expert legal advice on complex legislative matters.

The role involves managing the Scheme Legal team, which is a small, high-performing legal team that sits within Legal Services. This position is central to maintaining the Scheme's legal boundaries and ensuring its long-term viability.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage and report on significant legal cases.
  • Provide legal advice on legal risks, trends, and legislative interpretation.
  • Manage the Scheme Legal team.
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with key legal and regulatory bodies.
  • Contribute to legislative updates and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor of Laws and a current Practising Certificate.
  • At least 5 years PAE experience.
  • Extensive experience in South Australian workers compensation and dispute management.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
