The hospital and clinical school are seeking a Postgraduate Clinical Education Fellow to support teaching and learning activities for medical students.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide teaching sessions, supervision, and coordinate student assessment requirements.
- Support student induction and provide pastoral care as needed.
- Evaluate and continuously improve clinical experiences at the hospital.
- Act as a liaison between doctors in training, clinical supervisors, and the head of school.
- Participate in hospital meetings and committees to promote best practice and a culture of education and learning.
Clinical Role Overview:
- Deliver a clinical service within your defined scope of practice.
- Supervise junior staff and ensure accurate documentation.
- Arrange for patients' continuity of care upon discharge.
- Liaise with patient families, carers, and other health professionals involved in ongoing patient management.
Essential Requirements:
- MBBS or equivalent qualification and current registration with AHPRA.
- Completed Fellowship of a Royal Australasian College of Physicians or specialist recognition.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating or delivering clinical teaching and learning.
- High level of competence in interpersonal skills, consultation, and effective communication.
This position will contribute to evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives, including periodic review and enhancement of clinical experiences delivered at the hospital.
