Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Lecturer to join our faculty in the School of Medicine at the Fremantle Campus. This part-time opportunity offers career development and is perfect for those who want to make a difference in medical education.

About the Role:

This position involves working closely with the National Lead of the Clinical Capabilities Project (CCP) Domain to develop, coordinate, and deliver the CCP curriculum and assessments across the MD program. You will collaborate with colleagues across campuses to ensure high-quality communication and clinical skills training throughout the MD program.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Support the National CCP Domain Lead in curriculum development, coordination, and implementation for the MD program.
  2. Lead the implementation of the CCP Domain in Fremantle, managing academic staff and training clinical educators and tutors.
  3. Collaborate with other Domain Leads and assessment teams to ensure CCP learning objectives are appropriately assessed and integrated.
  4. Develop and mark examinations, including writing assessment questions and setting standards.
  5. Coordinate and manage clinical exams (OSCEs) across the MD program in Fremantle.
  6. Provide administrative leadership to the CCP Domain team in Fremantle.
  7. Conduct teaching duties as per university policy.
  8. Participate in relevant committees and groups as required.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  1. A Medical degree registrable with AHPRA and a Fellowship in Medicine, Health, Medical Education, or a PhD, or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline (>5 years).
  2. Experience in curriculum design, delivery, and assessment in medical or health education, preferably in a tertiary setting.
  3. Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills, with experience in clinical and OSCE examinations desirable.
  4. Experience in evidence-based clinical skills teaching at Masters level or higher.
  5. Excellent teamwork, communication, and negotiation skills for effective interaction across various staff and environments.
  6. Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems.
