About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position that will be based in a regional area, with opportunities to work from home or from our operational sites and offers flexibility in working hours so you can do the things that matter to you.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Manager of Operational Planning and Monitoring to join our Operations business group at TasWater. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing specialist technical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Workforce Schedule Planning: Develop and implement effective workforce scheduling strategies to optimize operations and ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Network and Treatment Plant Systems Monitoring: Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of our network and treatment plant systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Dispatch of Work: Coordinate the dispatch of work to our field teams to ensure that tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Policies and Procedures: Develop, publish, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure that our workforce is utilized efficiently and safely.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in operational planning and monitoring, preferably in a water or utility industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate technical teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
