The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance and Business Manager to support the growth of our expanding business. This is a new and exciting position that requires a strong leader with a proven track record in financial leadership and business management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the financial health and business operations of the organization
  • Prepare and oversee the administration of budgets, cash flow, account payments, and financial plans
  • Conduct financial budgeting and forecasting
  • Execute accurate reporting that enables sound analysis and financial recommendations
  • Implement financial controls and close monitoring of performance to ensure strategic objectives are met
  • Implement systems, tools, and technologies to enhance business productivity, client value, and employee experience
  • Oversee the management of internal business support operations, including IT, marketing, and HR
  • Improve operational management systems, processes, and practices focused on supporting the Pinion Advisory consulting team
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, safety, and excellence
  • Deliver leadership and operational support internally across the business
  • Guide development and implementation of IT strategy
  • Oversee regulatory and legal compliance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance and business management
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong business acumen and a proven track record in financial leadership
  • Understanding of the key drivers that impact the performance of a consulting business
  • Strategic thinking and planning
  • Passion for driving business success, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, and ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficient in financial modelling, forecasting, and financial reporting tools
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
