We are seeking a Guidance Counsellor to join our team at St Mary's Primary School Laidley.
As a Guidance Counsellor, you will play a vital role in enhancing student wellbeing, learning, and engagement. You will form part of the guidance and counselling team supporting the students and school community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing proactive and preventative practices for student wellbeing and mental health
- Managing counselling and consulting services for students
- Providing psycho-educational assessments and reports
- Ensuring protocols and quality processes are implemented
- Maintaining standards of practice
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Full registration as a Teacher with QCT or full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
- Successful experience as a Guidance Counsellor in an educational setting
- Experience in identifying and developing activities to address academic and life career development of students
- Collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
