Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As a Nominee, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Greenpeace Australia Pacific. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing strategic guidance and oversight to ensure the organization's mission remains relevant and effective;
  • Working closely with the Executive Team to set direction and make informed decisions;
  • Maintaining a deep understanding of the Pacific region and its complexities;
  • Supporting the development and implementation of policies and programs that advance our mission;
  • Fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity within the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A deep understanding of the cultural, political, economic, and social context of the Pacific;
  • Proven experience in leadership or governance roles, preferably in the non-profit sector;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A strong track record of strategic thinking and problem-solving;
  • The ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with stakeholders.

This is a part-time role, requiring approximately 15-20 hours per month. The term of office is three years, with the option to renew for a further three years.
