Greenpeace Australia Pacific is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the position of Non Executive Director. This esteemed role requires a deep understanding of the Pacific cultural, political, economic and social context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will ensure GPAP's mission remains clear, relevant and aligned with the current times.
  • They will provide strategic guidance for setting GPAP's direction.
  • Maintaining alignment between GPAP's programmes and activities is crucial to ensuring they remain in line with the mission and goals.
  • The Non Executive Director will be responsible for executive performance and resource management.
  • Compliance with ACNC Governance Standards is essential.

Requirements:

  • A profound understanding of the Pacific cultural, political, economic and social context is necessary.
  • Sufficient time to commit to GPAP Board work is required.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in environmental movements or Greenpeace campaigns would be beneficial.
  • Relevant governance experience and skills are highly valued.
  • Established networks that can provide value to the GPAP Board are desirable.
