Key Responsibilities- Identify new business opportunities and effectively manage existing accounts to ensure repeat and long-term revenue streams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive sales growth and retention.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align sales efforts and deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Pursue strategic initiatives to expand the MICE segment through pipeline development and targeted business strategies.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify new source markets and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and site inspections to build brand awareness and establish key relationships.
- Cultivate a network of decision-makers, meeting planners, PCOs, and industry partners to drive business growth.
- Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification in Hotel Administration or Sales/Management.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in hotel sales within Australasia, with a proven track record of success driving repeat business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A solid understanding of hotel systems and revenue management principles.
- Completion of a formal sales training program.
The Business Development Manager works closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to drive sales activities aligned with the hotel's annual strategy, with a focus on exceeding revenue targets.
