Job Role: Laboratory Scientist

This position involves working within a scientific team and collaborating in a laboratory setting. The primary responsibilities of the Scientist will be to support the development and manufacturing activities of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cell cultures under sterile conditions, including adherent and suspension cells.
  • Prepare media, buffers, and reagents as required.
  • Develop and validate cell-based assays for various applications, such as viability, cytotoxicity, reporter gene expression, proliferation, apoptosis, and receptor binding.
  • Perform routine assays using techniques like ELISA, luminescence, fluorescence, flow cytometry, and high-content imaging.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data using statistical tools and data visualization software.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and electronic records.
  • Evaluate laboratory safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance with GLP and GMP regulations.
  • Conduct stability studies on complex biological molecules, such as monoclonal antibodies and antibody drug conjugates, as well as simple chemical molecules, including cytotoxics, antibiotics, and analgesics.
  • Ongoing maintenance of laboratory equipment, calibration, qualification, and certification.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must hold a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or other relevant biological/analytical disciplines.
  • Experience in performing aseptic cell culture of various cell lines is essential.
  • Familiarity with cell culture and cell-based assays, including viability, cytotoxicity, reporter gene expression, proliferation, apoptosis, and receptor binding, is necessary.
  • Understanding of basic scientific principles and theories for plate-based immunological methods, such as ELISA and protein binding assays, is also required.
