Job Description

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in protein biochemistry, structural biology or relevant fields with an excellent publication record. They will also have extensive biochemistry experience, specifically in expressing and purifying large multi-subunit protein complexes and analyzing them through in vitro methods.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. in protein biochemistry, structural biology or relevant fields with an excellent publication record.
  • Extensive biochemistry experience, specifically in expressing and purifying large multi-subunit protein complexes and analyzing them through in vitro methods.
  • Experience in structural biology techniques, especially with cryo-EM, including sample preparation, data collection, computational analysis, and 3D structure determination of protein macromolecules.

The candidate will have access to state-of-the-art facilities at Adelaide Microscopy, including multiple transmission electron microscopes (TEM), such as a Glacios 200 kV Cryo-TEM. Additionally, resources available include the Phoenix high-performance computing (HPC), Bragg Crystallography facility, and Adelaide Proteomics Centre.
