Early Childhood Autism Intervention Consultant

The Provincial Preschool Autism Service aims to provide person and family-centred services to preschoolers with autism across Nova Scotia. We strive to offer an efficient, sustainable, and integrated continuum of health services following a needs-based model responsive to individual needs.
Main Responsibilities:- Collaborate with families in goal setting processes
- Conduct assessments related to established goals
- Develop, implement, and coordinate intervention programs tailored to meet unique needs
Our ideal candidate will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility in hours is required, including some evenings and weekends.
Essential Requirements:- A Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or BCBA
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body in Nova Scotia
- A valid Class 5 Nova Scotia driver's license and reliable vehicle
- CPR certification within the last 12 months and First Aid certification
We seek candidates with two years' recent experience working with children with autism (ages 0-6) and their families. Proven knowledge of best practices in autism intervention is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in clinical care and ability to develop effective intervention plans.
