About the Role

This position offers a fulfilling career in early childhood intervention, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams of Allied Health professionals, Social Workers, and Inclusive Education specialists. The successful candidate will work closely with families to achieve their goals, utilizing evidence-informed best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted support to help families attain their objectives, using assessments, observations, and knowledge of child development.
  • Foster empowerment among families, caregivers, and professionals, enabling them to build skills and confidence to support children in their daily lives.
  • Establish connections between children and families with their community, ensuring inclusive participation.
  • Maintain thorough records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals.
  • Guide families through the application, implementation, and funding processes of NDIS plans.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a degree qualification in Speech Pathology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in child development and ability to identify developmental issues.
  • A proven track record of supporting families and children with developmental delays/disabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and early childhood intervention best practice principles.
