Behaviour technicians and behaviour support practitioners are highly valued as their work directly influences the success and outcomes of the child. Program managers are equally as important as leaders of therapy teams and training providers.

The primary function of the program manager is to plan, develop and monitor a variety of behaviour support service delivery options to meet the needs of clients diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and/or other behavioural and social/communication challenges. As a program manager, you'll lead each child's therapy team and provide ongoing training and direct supervision to team members. You'll consult with and instruct team members regarding proactive educational programming and behavioural support. You'll also develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans and collaborate effectively with team members, related service providers, families and other agencies, as appropriate.
Duties
- Use appropriate assessment instruments to develop skills building programs that reflect identified behavioural objectives and other outcomes, and ensure treatment fidelity across behaviour technicians and behaviour support practitioners
- Implement treatment plans, document contacts and observations, and use professional knowledge and independent judgment to strategise continuous improvements
- Seek creative options for ensuring the continuity and consistency of treatment and support services across settings for the lifespan of the client
- Provide training to, and clinical supervision of, behaviour technicians through observation, meetings, performance coaching and other methods
- Provide consultation, training, modeling and assistance to team members, as needed, in strategies and methodologies for working with children on the autism spectrum and/or who have behavioural, adaptive and/or social/communication challenges
- Establish and maintain data measurement, collection and analysis systems for clients receiving behavioral interventions
- Maintain appropriate documentation and complete assessments and reports as required
- Ensure all treatment plans and programs comply with contract requirements, satisfy all relevant insurance certification and other expectations, and meet or exceed professional standards
- Maintain highly organised, consistent, thorough and systematic recordkeeping practices
- Effectively coordinate with each family, administrative personnel and colleagues
- Develop strategies for the stability of quality services when clients experience transition
- Demonstrate workplace behaviours that align with Aspire's values and philosophy
- Other reasonable duties as directed

Essential criteria
- Current certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)
- OR significant progress towards meeting certification requirements
- A Masters degree recognised by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Minimum of three years' recent experience working with individuals who have ASD and their families
- Knowledge of early childhood and autism assessment tools and procedures, and thorough knowledge of child development
- Experience developing positive behavior support plans and programs, and in teaching social interaction and play skills
- Knowledge of current methods and techniques of applied behavior analysis and Discrete Trial Training
- Competence in analysing assessment results, designing appropriate individual treatment plans and behavioral programs and monitoring progress
- Maintain status with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a "suitable" NDIS behaviour support practitioner
- Work effectively as a team member, demonstrate flexibility and desire to learn new skills and improve professional qualifications
- Strong communication skills to work with a diverse team and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to problem-solve and assist the clinical directors in decision-making, including during emergencies or when a supervisor is not onsite
- Maintain current status regarding assigned core competencies and other required certification acquisition within established schedules and timelines
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with individuals, families and natural supports
- Excellent customer service skills
- Highly efficient with time management, able to take initiative and work independently
- Maintain a high level of organisation for file maintenance and record keeping
