About the Position

The Shelter Medicine Leader will oversee and direct a team of veterinarians at our North Melbourne facility.

This role requires close collaboration with another Lead Veterinarian to ensure consistency across both locations and provide support during absences as needed.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide inspirational leadership to veterinary staff members.
  • Promote best practice animal care within a contemporary shelter medicine framework.
  • Mentor and assist team members, promoting growth and well-being.
  • Develop strategies to enhance patient flow and minimize stay times.
  • Ensure adherence to animal welfare legislation, policies, and standards.

You should be an experienced veterinarian with a passion for working effectively with others.
