Commercial Opportunities
Sydney Water is seeking a skilled Commercial Lead to drive high-impact commercial projects and partnerships across the organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and delivering value through partnerships, new product commercialisation, and business case development.
This role will join the Commercial and Corporate Development Team within the Finance business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Execution: Lead the delivery of commercial projects and partnerships, including valuation, financial modelling, and managing the due diligence process.
- New Product Launch: Collaborate with the Innovation and Product teams to launch new product lines and maximise their value.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and facilitate opportunities to improve commercial outcomes and drive value for the organisation.
- Strategy Development: Work with relevant experts to develop and assess strategy options, providing recommendations for decision-making.
- Business Case Creation: Develop robust business cases that consider both short-term and long-term implications, ensuring risk minimisation and value maximisation.
- Financial Modelling: Create clear and structured financial models to assess complex commercial propositions, including regulatory, tax, and business case considerations.
- Negotiation Support: Act as a key member of the negotiation team, providing commercial insight and support to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Contract Development: Work with the legal team and stakeholders to develop term sheets and contracts that protect the organisation's interests.
