We are seeking a seasoned expert to provide mine closure support from establishing closure visions and strategies to delivering technical work focused on various aspects of mine operations.
- Perform senior representative duties for clients as required.
- Peer review company reports and other deliverables.
- Develop business opportunities with previous, current, and new clients.
- Deliver high-quality proposals and client support on time and within budget.
- Support business development by attending conferences and presenting technical papers, which may require domestic and international travel.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and share knowledge across teams to foster a continuous improvement mindset.
- Travel for work-related activities for domestic and international clients and related project work.
- Support and mentor staff as required.
- Undergraduate degree in engineering or natural/physical sciences (pre-requisite) and preferably, a post-graduate qualification in a related field.
- 10 or more years' relevant experience at a senior capacity.
- Experience in mine planning design processes, with demonstrated understanding of key factors and considerations that influence mine design and closure optionality.
- Strong understanding of the legislative framework surrounding mine closure in Australia and/or New Zealand.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience, and/or mentoring small teams.
- Strong project management skills including management of cross-discipline project teams.
- Well-developed report writing skills.
- Valid Australian working rights and a valid Australian driver's license is essential for the role.
Mine Closure Management provides practical consulting solutions for mine closure design, closure management approaches, planning, strategy, and rehabilitation technical support for the mineral resources industry.
