This is a fantastic chance to have real impact, working with a team of industry experts and reporting into the Manager of Technical Services.

  • Provide technical and engineering solutions along with business improvement outcomes for global operations.
  • Collaborate and support in a team environment, utilizing technical mining best practices to deliver value for new and existing customers.
Responsibilities
  • Act in the best interests by working within legislation that underpins operations.
  • Evaluate decisions based on achievement of objectives.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, employees, management, and supplier contacts.
  • Assist in the development of systems, processes, and practices for the Technical Services division.
  • Advise on underground mine design, drill and blast, sequence, scheduling, and operational optimizations.
  • Support technical reviews, cost forecasting, resource allocation, life of mine/monthly/weekly progress tracking, and reporting.
  • Support and advise the tendering team, review of tender schedules, and designs.
  • Maintain an active register for mine planning risks and opportunities across the business.
  • Participate in safe practice and environmental awareness.
  • Ensure all works are completed to a standard fit for purpose and meets users' requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train engineering graduates to become valuable assets.
  • Identify productivity and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Participate in the development of the department's annual budget activities and track progress.
