Job Title: Transport Logistics Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled transport professional to lead our transport function and achieve strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner, monitoring driver performance and maintaining vehicle standards.
  • Develop and implement effective routing strategies to optimize logistics operations.
  • Oversee staff evaluation, recruitment, and training programs, promoting a culture of excellence and development.
  • Address issues raised by drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of wages, budgets, and freight charges, exercising financial discipline and prudence.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to ensure customer requirements are met and driver feedback is addressed.

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in people management and leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Possess relevant certifications and qualifications, such as AFM accreditation.
  • Sound knowledge of HACCP and OH & S regulations, including BFM legislation.
  • Proficient in routing systems and MFG PRO software.
