About the Role

This is a key position within our organisation that will see you working on design and planning activities for large-scale maritime facilities.

You will be part of a talented and respected engineering team in Australia, collaborating with various disciplines across KBR and other partners on defence, local government, state government, ports, and sustainability projects.

A major advantage of this role is the opportunity to gain valuable experience in different industries such as clean energy, boating infrastructure, wharf and port infrastructure, and remediation of public assets.

The successful candidate will leverage their existing experience in structural design, reinforced concrete, and steel, as well as their interest or experience in ports, harbours, coastal works, and marine structures.

You will also have opportunities to grow your leadership and business development skills by assisting with project management and proposal tasks.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in structural design, including reinforced concrete and steel.
  • Interest or experience in ports, harbours, coastal works, and marine structures.
  • Capability and experience in using structural analysis software, such as SPACE GASS, Strand 7, IDEAStatica.
  • Interest or experience working with local governments, port clients, and/or the Defence sector.
  • Familiarity with structural Australian design codes and guidelines.
  • Working towards Chartered Professional Engineer credentials.
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance.
