Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced Corporate Affairs Stakeholder Engagement Specialist to join our team in Sydney. This is a 12-month, fixed-term role that will play a key part in shaping our stakeholder engagement strategy and supporting new generation projects in Regional NSW.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead stakeholder engagement activities across Regional NSW to support commercial outcomes for AGL.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including local communities, governments, and business partners.
  • Monitor and report on stakeholder needs, interests, and issues, and recommend actions to manage identified risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project, communications, media, and regulatory teams, to ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage community programs associated with new generation projects.
  • Demonstrate AGL Values by acting in the best interests of AGL at all times.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

A high level of written and verbal communication skills.Established networks in areas of regional NSW.Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with a diverse range of people.Experience developing and implementing stakeholder engagement activities that support commercial outcomes.The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, effectively managing time and prioritizing workload.High degree of professionalism and integrity in dealings with fellow team members and external stakeholders.

About You

You'll bring a combination of skills and experience to this role, including:

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Business, or Environmental Science.Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations, or a related field.Strong understanding of sustainability and energy issues.
