About the Role

The Registry Services Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of client services staff to ensure exceptional registry services to clients. This will involve:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve registry services delivery.
  • Providing statistical reports to management on trends and issues associated with local service provision.
  • Managing change in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Maintaining positive, productive, and collaborative relationships with the judiciary, the legal profession, and community groups.

The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and relationship management skills, as well as sound organisational and problem-solving abilities. They will also have a deep understanding of the public service operating environment, including legislative compliance, probity, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Leading a team of client services staff to deliver exceptional registry services to clients.
  2. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.
  3. Providing statistical reports to management on trends and issues associated with local service provision.
  4. Managing change in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  5. Promoting and maintaining the policies and standards of the organisation.
Selection Criteria

Candidates should possess:

  • Demonstrated staff management, change management, leadership, and development experience (preferably in a legal, courts, or public service environment).
  • Excellent relationship management capacity, including effective communication with people at all levels, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage stressful and/or conflict situations professionally.
  • Sound organisational and problem-solving skills, including initiative, prioritisation, meeting deadlines, and working under pressure.
  • Analytical and report writing skills to provide strategic advice on trends and policy to management.
  • A deep understanding of the public service operating environment, including legislative compliance, probity, and accountability.
