The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW is a leading organisation dedicated to promoting educational, cultural, and community-focused programs.
We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Events Coordinator to join our team in delivering the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Job Description:
- Event Operations: Assist in the smooth operation of the Sydney Royal Arts & Crafts Competition, ensuring timely setup, execution, and teardown of events.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by managing exhibitor concerns, addressing queries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Administration: Perform various administrative tasks, including word processing, spreadsheet maintenance, presentation updates, and proofreading competition materials.
- Data Entry: Handle data entry for awards, sales, and exhibitor records, ensuring timely notifications and accurate record-keeping.
- Sales and Transactions: Manage sales and transactions during the Arts Preview Evening and Show period, including cash handling, EFTPOS, and register operations.
Key Dates:
- Show Period: 11 – 22 April 2025
- Bump-In & Exhibitor Deliveries: 24 – 29 March 2025
- Judging & Bump-In: 31 March – 1 April 2025
- Arts Preview Evening: 9 April 2025 (10 AM – 10 PM)
- Perishable Cooking Live Judging: 11 April 2025
- Bump-Out & Exhibitor Collections: 23 – 27 April 2025
Requirements:
- Relevant experience or qualification in administration, event management, or hospitality preferred
- Background in events, administration, or hospitality with proven multitasking, customer service, and cash handling skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to thrive under pressure
Estimated Salary: AU$65,000 - AU$85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
