About the Role

The Public Transport Authority is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Planner and Service Coordinator to support the effective processing of service disruptions and plan for special events across Transperth bus services.

In this role, you will coordinate, plan, and implement administrative, resourcing, and logistic requirements to facilitate planned service disruptions throughout the metropolitan area. You will also assist with reviews of existing bus, train, and ferry services and conduct research, analyze data, and report on public transport trends to enable effective service planning.

This position requires sound conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to research and evaluate information, identify trends and issues, and make recommendations. We are looking for applicants with demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the achievement of team goals.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contract management and public transport issues.
  • Proven experience delivering effective information services in a customer-focused environment.
  • Working knowledge or experience of urban and regional planning.

This is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which permanent or fixed-term appointments with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency will be made.

We offer a competitive salary package of $85,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.
