Senior Academic Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced academic to join our team as a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development, delivery, and coordination of courses within undergraduate and postgraduate Midwifery programs.

Job Description:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and coordinating midwifery programs, developing and implementing curriculum, and contributing to the academic leadership of the unit.
  • They will also be expected to engage in research activities, publish research findings, and contribute to the advancement of the midwifery profession.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and Doctoral degree qualification in a relevant health discipline.
  • Extensive experience teaching and coordinating undergraduate, preregistration, and postgraduate midwifery programs.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement curriculum, assess student performance, and contribute to academic leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
