Midwifery Educator Opportunity

\

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Midwifery Educator.

\

The role of the Midwifery Educator is to contribute to excellence in teaching and learning across a range of midwifery topics. This includes developing and delivering high-quality, innovative teaching through lectures, tutorials, clinical placements, and contemporary digital strategies.

\

The successful candidate will play a key role in creating course materials, coordinating placements, and conducting assessments. Ongoing clinical or community-based practice is required to maintain current skills and knowledge.

\

The Midwifery Educator will actively contribute to enhancing teaching and learning through scholarship and may also teach across other programs within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences or other university Colleges.

\

Building and strengthening partnerships with external stakeholders to improve teaching, learning, or research outcomes is also a vital aspect of the role.

\

Informal leadership by supporting academic staff, coordinating workflows, and ensuring high standards aligned with university policies and practices is expected.

\

The ideal candidate will hold a doctorate in a relevant field or possess equivalent clinical experience and professional standing in Midwifery.

\

A strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary midwifery education practices is essential.

\

Excellence in tertiary-level teaching, including in simulation and clinical settings, as well as experience in placement coordination are highly regarded.

\

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, and industry partners, are necessary.

\

Experience in curriculum review and engagement in accreditation processes will be highly regarded.

\
