Job Summary

The Strategic Asset Management Lead will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic asset management processes across the SA Health infrastructure and clinical service/administration property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize the use of assets and reduce costs.
  • Provide expertise to identify, develop, implement, and manage asset strategies, asset risk management processes, and land and building renewal strategies.
  • Facilitate the implementation of policy and guidelines on asset management and efficient utilization of assets.
  • Provide advice to Local Health Networks (LHN) on the development of LHN strategic infrastructure plans and prepare and maintain alignment with departmental strategic infrastructure planning/policy documentation.
  • Challenge the status quo to simplify, rationalize, or develop assets, systems, and processes to meet the needs of the community and continually improve asset management practices.
  • Ensure robust whole-of-department asset data/information, leading and working closely with the Strategic Property and Facility Consultant (AGFMA) and Asset Information Administrator to progress and execute initiatives that align with departmental strategic objectives.
Requirements
  • A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position.
