Job Title: Family Preservation Specialist
At our organization, we are committed to building a society where all Australians can thrive. As part of this vision, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Family Preservation Specialist.
This role is focused on delivering targeted, voluntary child protection services to families with children who are at high risk of entering or escalating within the statutory child protection system. The program aims to reduce risks and strengthen families to prevent the number of children entering out-of-home care.
Key responsibilities will include undertaking initial assessments of family strengths and needs, developing case plans that empower families to make lasting change, and providing intensive home visiting and intervention through evidence-informed practices.
The successful candidate will have relevant industry experience and/or a tertiary qualification in social work, welfare, or psychology. They will also possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to actively and respectfully engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
