About this role

Project Manager - Aboriginal Precision Medicine Initiative

This is a unique opportunity to coordinate the Aboriginal Precision Medicine project in NSW as part of an Australian Alliance for Indigenous Genomics initiative.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Aboriginal Medical Services, communities, NSW Health, and governance bodies.
  • Coordinate the co-design, development, and implementation of a state-wide Aboriginal Precision Medicine Program.
  • Lead capacity building activities including community engagement, educational resource development, and workforce training.
  • Support governance, ethics, and evaluation processes ensuring cultural and scientific integrity.
  • Contribute to Indigenous genomics policy, advocacy, and knowledge translation efforts.

You will bring a range of skills and experience:

  • Experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, research, or health promotion (preferably in genomics or precision medicine).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and work effectively with Aboriginal communities.
  • Skills in co-design, program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and report writing skills.
  • Qualifications in public health, health promotion, or equivalent experience.
