This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in the field of precision medicine with an Aboriginal-led initiative. As a program coordinator, you will oversee the development and implementation of culturally safe and community-informed precision medicine projects across NSW.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with Aboriginal Medical Services, communities, NSW Health, and governance bodies.
- Coordinate the co-design, development, and implementation of state-wide Aboriginal Precision Medicine Programs.
- Lead capacity building activities including community engagement, educational resource development, and workforce training.
- Ensure cultural and scientific integrity through governance, ethics, and evaluation processes.
- Contribute to Indigenous genomics policy, advocacy, and knowledge translation efforts.
- Experience working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, research, or health promotion (preferably in genomics or precision medicine).
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and work effectively with Aboriginal communities.
- Skills in co-design, program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and report writing skills.
- Qualifications in public health, health promotion, or equivalent experience.
