Director of Perioperative Services and Operational Excellence

The primary objective of this leadership position is to oversee the strategic direction and operational efficiency of perioperative services, ensuring the optimal utilization of human and financial resources to achieve outstanding clinical outcomes, exceptional patient care, and sustained business growth.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead and develop high-performing perioperative teams across multiple sites;
- Promote theatre activity growth, optimize operational efficiency, and deliver excellence in patient care;
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and patient-centered care;
- Oversight of clinical governance, risk management, quality improvement projects, and accreditation readiness;
- Strategic management of significant budgets and resources to drive strong clinical and financial outcomes;
- Nurture strong relationships with surgeons, staff, and key stakeholders.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA;
- Postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing and/or healthcare management;
- Significant leadership experience at a senior or executive level within an acute hospital setting;
- Proven expertise in clinical, financial, risk, and human resource management;
- Strong change management, strategic thinking, and business development skills;
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
