Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead high-performing perioperative teams to achieve outstanding clinical and financial outcomes.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to enhance theatre activity growth, operational efficiency, and patient care.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and patient-centred care through collaborative leadership.
  • Oversee clinical governance, risk management, quality improvement projects, and accreditation readiness to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage resources effectively to achieve strong clinical and financial performance indicators.
  • Build strong relationships with surgeons, staff, and key stakeholders to promote effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Candidates must be inspirational leaders who thrive in complex, fast-paced environments and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA is essential.
  • Postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing and/or health care management is highly desirable.
  • Senior or executive-level leadership experience within an acute hospital setting is required.
  • Proven expertise in clinical, financial, risk, and human resource management is necessary for success.
  • Strong change management, strategic thinking, and business development skills are critical for driving growth and excellence.
