About the Role

The ideal candidate will lead the administration and delivery of state and Commonwealth funding programs focused on disaster risk reduction, preparedness, and recovery.

This is a pivotal role within the authority, ensuring best practice governance, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement across the grant lifecycle.

  • Proven experience managing complex grants and funding programs in dynamic environments.
  • A deep understanding of relevant administration guides and best practice management principles.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to oversee robust reporting systems and ensure accurate allocation tracking.
  • A proactive approach to risk management and performance monitoring across multiple funding streams.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust and drive outcomes across partners.
  • Experience supporting Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) frameworks to enhance accountability and continuous improvement.
  • A track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams.
