We are seeking a highly skilled Independent Board Director to join our organisation.

This is a rare opportunity to contribute your governance expertise and make a tangible difference in the lives of women across Australia and New Zealand.

Our board members serve voluntarily for a 2-year term with the possibility of reappointment at the end of each term.

About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in governance or corporate strategy, with a strong understanding of fiduciary responsibilities.

They will preferably have a legal, finance, or governance background and previous experience as a Board Director in a not-for-profit, healthcare, regulatory, or professional membership organisation.

Attendance at all scheduled meetings is essential, with approximately 11 board meetings held each year. The College will cover reasonable travel expenses incurred by the Independent Director in attending these meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • To attend all Board meetings and Council meetings.
  • To support the RANZCOG Board by drawing upon their specific skills and experience.
  • To engage and effectively communicate with members, trainees, staff and other stakeholders.
  • To participate as a member of RANZCOG bodies in accordance with their respective terms of reference.
  • To be fully conversant with the business of RANZCOG and with its legal and statutory obligations.
