We are seeking dedicated Job Mentors to support First Nations individuals in their employment journey.

About This Role

As a Job Mentor, you will provide tailored guidance and advocacy to help job seekers achieve their career goals.

Main Responsibilities
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH FIRST NATIONS JOB SEEKERS
  • PROVIDE INDIVIDUALISED MENTORING AND COACHING TO SUPPORT WORK READINESS
  • ASSIST CLIENTS IN IDENTIFYING CAREER GOALS AND DEVELOPING JOB PLANS
  • CONNECT JOB SEEKERS WITH SUITABLE TRAINING, EMPLOYMENT, AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES
  • LIAISE WITH EMPLOYERS TO SUPPORT SUSTAINABLE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with contractual obligations
About You
  • PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN MENTORING OR COACHING INDIVIDUALS IN A PROFESSIONAL SETTING
  • ABILITY TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK AND GUIDANCE TO SUPPORT FIRST NATIONS JOB SEEKERS
  • EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
  • EMPATHY AND PATIENCE WHEN WORKING WITH INDIVIDUALS FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS
  • KNOWLEDGE OF LOCAL INDUSTRY-SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS AND CAREER PATHWAYS IS AN ADVANTAGE
  • EXPERIENCE IN CREATING PERSONALISED JOB PLANS FOR INDIVIDUALS
  • EXPERIENCE IN EITHER EMPLOYMENT SERVICES, YOUTH WORK, COMMUNITY SERVICES OR MENTORING HIGHLY REGARDED
  • PROFICIENCY IN USING RELEVANT MENTORING TOOLS AND SOFTWARE
  • Ability to pass a police check and have WWCC
