Job Title: Regional Market Strategist

Lead the charge in understanding, analyzing, and strategically navigating the dynamic landscape of the marine segment within a designated region. Develop an in-depth understanding of all DCLI functions, terminal operations, and vendors. Partner with regional Operational and Commercial teams to ensure alignment with market strategies prior to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct weekly meetings with maintenance & repair, logistics, and commercial teams to ensure alignment on tasks required to achieve market objectives.
  • Gain a detailed understanding of all financial drivers within the assigned market/region, interpreting financial results and communicating these results to all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance team to develop and implement a robust data-driven strategy for achieving profitable growth in the Marine segment.
  • Prepare comprehensive weekly/bi-weekly updates to key stakeholders detailing ongoing market conditions, including analysis of market trends, competitive landscape, and economic indicators.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within the Marine or intermodal industry. Proven track record of successfully implementing data-driven strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex ideas and strategies in a clear and concise manner.
  • Skills in guiding teams, decision-making, and communication at a senior management level are crucial.
