Job Title: Renewable Energy Optimization Expert

The role involves leveraging advanced simulation and machine learning approaches to optimize techno-economic performance across large-scale renewable projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing cutting-edge simulation frameworks
  • Mentoring teams in modelling, data quality, and uncertainty management
  • Providing technical insights to senior leaders for strategic decision-making
  • Creating hybrid models combining simulation, optimisation, and machine learning techniques
  • Applying machine learning to speed up simulations, identify cost drivers, and optimise systems
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Master's or PhD degree in Data Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Energy Systems, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in advanced data science, machine learning, or computational modelling, preferably in energy, resources, or process industries
  • Proven expertise in simulation-based optimisation, surrogate modelling, and large-scale data integration
  • Strong proficiency in C++, Python is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
  • Demonstrated experience linking engineering/physical models with techno-economic analysis
