Renewable Energy Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role will play a key part in supporting our project teams by leading various design components on individual projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical theory and concepts, as well as experience in renewable energy or utility projects. They will be able to develop and demonstrate expertise in performing core responsibilities outlined below.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize PV layouts and MV routing based on site constraints
  • Execute and review engineering calculations to ensure compliance with codes and standards
  • Perform solar production simulations and forecast energy output
  • Specify equipment, prepare BOMs, and review vendor drawings
  • Coordinate closely with civil and structural teams to integrate electrical design

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET Accredited)
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in Renewable Energy or Utility projects
  • Experience mentoring other employees
  • Strong understanding of utility-scale engineering transmission and distribution theories and principles
