Job Title: Asia Pacific Leader

This role offers a rare opportunity to lead the future of tailings and mine waste engineering in the Asia-Pacific region. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years' experience, including experience within a consultancy group, as well as a minimum of 10 years of specialisation and demonstrated experience in tailings engineering in a consulting role.

The selected individual will be responsible for leading activities in Tailings and Mine Waste Engineering, growing and strengthening the team, inspiring and guiding regional team leaders, managing group financial performance and overseeing the development of high-quality technical outputs.

To succeed in this position, you will need to have a strong track record in building, nurturing and maintaining ongoing client relationships. Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation and the ability to work effectively within a team are also essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Representing the Asia-Pacific region within a globally connected team of more than 100+ tailings and mine waste engineers.
  • Influencing strategy, innovation and growth across a thriving regional business.
  • Providing technical leadership and delivering projects with impact, supported by a collaborative, technically competent, forward-thinking team.
  • Working flexibly from any location in the Asia-Pacific region, backed by a strong platform of offices and staff in the region.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in tailings engineering in a consulting role.
  • Experience within a consultancy group.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Geotechnical / Civil / Mining Engineering.
  • Ability to plan and deliver geotechnical site investigations.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large multidisciplinary projects.
  • Past contribution to the development of the regional business plan.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
