**About the Role

TP Human Capital is working with a government client in Townsville to fill a 6-month contract role, with the possibility of extension. This position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in IT service management while supporting key business objectives.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of IT services, ensuring they meet business needs and align with best practices.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide advanced technical leadership across various IT systems and services, including Microsoft Windows environments, cloud platforms, and enterprise data protection tools.
  • Lead automation and scripting initiatives using tools like PowerShell, Bicep, and Azure Infrastructure as Code.
  • Oversee virtualisation platforms, networking and security technologies, and application delivery solutions.
  • Develop solutions that integrate diverse systems to deliver maximum value to the organisation.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across the business, ensuring clear and effective communication of IT service goals and outcomes.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
  • ITIL certification or proven experience in Service Management principles.
  • 8+ years experience in IT, with at least 3–5 years in a senior management or leadership position.
  • Expertise in key technologies including Microsoft products, Azure, virtualisation, networking, security, and data protection.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills, with experience in managing teams and working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational, and analytical abilities with a focus on business outcomes.
  • Experience working in an agile environment, managing competing priorities and resources.

**Estimated Salary:** The pay rate for this position is $63 to $68 per hour.
The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $129,600 to $138,560 based on a 38-hour workweek and 52 weeks of work per year. This estimate may vary based on individual circumstances and does not include additional forms of compensation.
