Data Management Specialist for Business and Risk

Our innovative law firm seeks a skilled Data Management Specialist to join our New Business & Enterprise Risk team in Sydney. As a key member of this dynamic team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and up-to-date maintenance of client and matter data within our Practice Management system.

This challenging yet rewarding position requires close collaboration with legal teams and the NBI team globally to provide an efficient function for the business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Timely attendance to requests via our workflow system
  • Setting up processes for clients and matters worldwide, including creating new clients and matter records, and maintaining these throughout their lifecycle
  • Supporting secretaries and other New Business Intake teams with inquiries on correct setup procedures to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Liaising with Business Development, Business Finance, and Partners regarding special client requirements and feasibility of implementing them
  • Transitioning legacy practice management data into updated structures and assisting with general data cleansing
  • Responding to ad-hoc requests via email or Teams call
  • Providing assistance to the Senior Matter Management Analyst and Matter Management Manager
  • Complying with WHS obligations and responsibilities in accordance with the requirements for this role

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • An ideal educational background in a relevant field such as Risk and Compliance or related analytical fields
  • Previous experience in the Legal Sector, Risk and Compliance, or other related analytical fields, preferably in billing or finance
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to use initiative and be proactive
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
