Risk Management, Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) is part of the Group Risk Management division. The team provides specialist risk services and advice to IB&M businesses.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Job Description:
This role is primarily accountable for designing, executing, and delivering stress tests for IB&M. This includes annual APRA and Group stress tests, as well as industry/portfolio level stress tests.

The successful candidate will contribute to designing, creating, and enhancing fit-for-purpose stress test models for different levels of stress tests. On a day-to-day basis, they will produce credit risk forecasts under various stress scenarios for CBA's non-retail portfolios. They will also embed CBA's non-retail portfolio credit risk stress testing capabilities, supporting effective management of credit risk across these portfolios.

Additionally, they will undertake ad-hoc credit risk analysis to support review and challenge of credit risk estimates/forecasts. They will design, review, and enhance fit-for-purpose stress test models and processes to support credit risk stress testing activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, execute, and deliver stress tests for IB&M.
  • Contribute to designing, creating, and enhancing stress test models.
  • Produce credit risk forecasts under various stress scenarios.
  • Embed credit risk stress testing capabilities.
  • Undertake ad-hoc credit risk analysis.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge and experience with data analytics are essential. Experience with data analytical programs such as R, Python, or SAS is preferred. Good communication skills, including the ability to articulate business, industry, and economics context, are required. Understanding of credit risk management, risk concepts/process, and regulation is desirable. Experience with credit risk modelling is also preferred. A tertiary qualification in a Finance, Economics, Technology, or Quantitative discipline is necessary.
