The role of Rehabilitation Consultant is a critical position in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector, focusing on providing services to clients with various physical and psychological conditions.
This position requires a professional background in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling and registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC).
- Deliver occupational rehabilitation services to clients, supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
- Manage caseloads, applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes and working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals.
- Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, compassion, kindness, empathy, and well-developed time management skills. A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive car insurance is mandatory.
Requirements- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences, or Rehabilitation Counselling.
- General or Provisional registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with ASORC.
- Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry highly regarded.
- Fabulous communication skills, compassion, kindness, empathy, and well-developed time management skills.
