Production Studio and Event Space Manager

This role involves collaboration with various departments and stakeholders to manage all aspects of an in-house production studio and a purpose-built event space, including planning and configuring broadcasts and live events. As the Production Studio and Event Space Manager, you will oversee and troubleshoot the live production environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a live television news broadcast environment or similar, with strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively under tight deadlines. They will also be able to work in a team environment, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure consistent quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operational aspects of the broadcast studio for webcasts, Forum space, and boardrooms for events, video recordings, and presentations.
  • Troubleshoot and manage audio mixing, video switching, and routing systems.
  • Assist in planning and execution of technical upgrades for current and future projects.
  • Organize the installation of various audio, visual, and lighting equipment as needed.
  • Take full technical responsibility for in-house video conferencing and meeting rooms.
  • Maintain all audio-visual and broadcast equipment, including software, and arrange servicing with vendors as required.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
  • Provide remote support to global offices as needed.
  • Act as liaison to the Events team and manage hotel AV providers for broadcast and audio-visual needs relating to off-site conferences and events.
  • Perform video editing for internal recordings.

Requirements:

  • Experience within a live television news broadcast environment or similar.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Some knowledge and experience working with audio visual systems, video switching, audio mixing, routing, lighting, camera operation within a corporate or studio environment.
  • Familiarity with non-linear editing platforms such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
