As a key member of our Australian team based in various locations, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring the mobile unit broadcast engineering operations at remote events.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor the mobile unit broadcast engineering operations at remote events.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting while executing changes and engineering updates on the mobile unit.
  • Perform regular cleaning and inventory checks for the mobile unit.
  • Track and report on equipment and system repair and maintenance status.
  • Direct the activities of crew members related to the operation of the mobile unit.
  • Follow through on repairs, inventory needs, and updates.
  • Provide on-site client service and technical support.

Skill Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years' experience operating a broadcast truck solo is essential.
  • A good understanding of outside broadcast workflows is required.
  • Understanding of SMPTE 2110 is desirable.
  • The ability to work under time constraints is necessary.
  • Knowledge of VSM or TFC, as well as IP technology, is preferred.
  • Well-organized and able to prioritize work in order of on-air importance.
  • Applicants must have a positive attitude, be able to work to explicit deadlines, pick up new concepts rapidly, and work closely with colleagues for long periods of time.
